My rally location was in Thornhill. Yes, it started cloudy but halfway through the rosary the sun peeped up reminding all that our Lady was watching us.
We received some car honk support and one TTC bus driver slowed down to read the banner, make the sign of the Cross and then drove off.

Orleans

Yesterday, October 14th, between 12 noon and 1pm, we had 30 people attend the Rosary Rally, at the corner of St. Joseph and Orleans Blvd in Orleans. This included representatives from the Divine Mercy Cenacles as well as the Rosary Team and the CWL all from Divine Infant Parish. Representatives from other Parishes who heard of the event by word-of-mouth also joined in.

There were beautiful hymns and prayers printed out to sing and recite, including the Angelus, the Rosary, the Litany to Our Lady, etc. We had several honks and smiles. Remarkably, a jogger who was passing by stopped and joined us in the Rosary. What a powerful witness!

Our Lady Queen of Fatima did something remarkable; the moment we finished singing Ave Maria and say the Angelus, the rain stopped drizzling, the sun shone up in the sky and the procession was wonderful.

It was a windy but beautiful, sunny day on October 14, 2017 when we held our third annual Rosary Rally. Praying the Rosary and singing to our Blessed Mother with an accompaniment of a guitar was very
moving. This year we had 26 people in attendance, and are hoping to make our Rally ‘bigger and better’ by looking for a more “public” place next year and to advertise more!
God bless you and your work!

On October 14, 2017 we celebrated the 100-th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima Apparitions at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, with the kind permission of Pastor Father Raymond Peter, the generous help of custodian Bruce, parish secretary Nellie, and with the presence of a special guest – Our Lady of Fatima, a four-foot-high beautiful statue courtesy of the Sisters of Mount Carmel Monastery in St. Agatha, Ontario. This Public Square Rosary Rally was an initiative of the Canada Needs Our Lady organization, a special campaign of the Canadian Society for the Defence of Christian Civilization, which predicted a total of 600 such rallies to be held across Canada at the same time, during this special centennial anniversary. Mary, the Mother of God appeared to the 3 shepherd children Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta in Fatima, Portugal in 1917 – a total of six times, with the final apparition on October 13, 1917. On the same day the Miracle of the Sun also occurred to prove the authenticity of Mary’s apparitions and to strengthen people’s faiths, where the sun unnaturally began to spin in the sky and to fall towards the earth – a miraculous spectacle that was witnessed by 70,000 people. Mary’s messages to the children of prayer (especially the rosary), repentance, self-sacrifice, reparation and peace are messages that our world needs to hear today as well. This considering: widespread abortions (100,000/year in Canada alone), frightening natural disasters of apocalyptic proportions (i.e. recent hurricanes in the Caribbean and the U.S.), nuclear threats, and rampant attacks on the sanctity of marriage and families by most western governments and institutions.
This was a celebration with various ethnic groups attending, with songs of praise and various prayers, especially the rosary, which was said in four different languages, English, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese. Afterwards a beautiful feature film about the Fatima Apparitions entitled “The 13-th Day”, was shown in the church hall, with stunning images of the visions and the final miracle, that was never before fully realized on screen. The audience also enjoyed very delicious refreshments of coffee, tea and cookies during the film, courtesy of the ladies of the parish (Doris and Pat) and delicious pastry baked by generous outside volunteers (Tina and Grace).
A special thank you to everyone who contributed to make this a very special and blessed celebration of God’s message of hope for mankind, as revealed by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima.
“Tell everybody that God grants us His graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, that they should ask her for them, that the Heart of Jesus wants the Immaculate Heart of Mary to be honoured along with Him, that they should ask the Immaculate Heart of Mary for peace because God has placed it in her keeping” – Saint Jacinta Marto

Everything went well, and we had almost 35 people attend. Thanks be to Our Lady, there was no rain and the temperature was good. We had the privilege of having with us Father George from Saint Mary’s basilica, and we had him crown the Blessed Mother who oversaw our rally. After having read the intentions of the rally, I asked him to add any intention he may like. He simply said, “The banner says it all, to pray for Christian Civilization.” He had the RR invitation posted in the church. The first picture you view is that of Prof. Edward Vrscay, a good friend of ours, who was very instrumental in organizing the rally. It was held at the clock tower in Queen Victoria Park.

Heart’s Desire, NL

The location of our rally was Heart’s Desire, Newfoundland. We are a very small community, with the only Catholic Church, Sacred Heart, in our area. Our Sacred Heart CWL sponsored our Rally, and we held it at our “Lady of Lourdes” grotto which is outside our church on the main street.

It was windy and very cold, and we didn’t expect much of an attendance, but there were about 25+ attendees, including local parishioners and ladies from other CWL councils.

Because of the distraction of a death in our community that morning, and the weather, we neglected to get the attendance sheets filled out, but I will fill out and send as many as I can with my report.

The attendees were very enthusiastic and we did the whole program including a short homily in spite of the cold. From now to next year our focus will be on getting more youth involved.

Thank you to “Canada Needs Our Lady” for this rally. May God bless you and may he bless your important work.

Sincerely, Kathleen Langer

Our Lady of the Angels RC church

We held our rally outside on this beautiful oct. day, outside Our Lady of the Angels RC church on the main road, which is also the main hiway through our little village, so we were in public sight. I gave scapulars and rosaries to our parish priest who blessed them, and gave them out to who attended or needed them, everyone really appreciated them, they all went and they were asking for more! We had a little lunch get together afterwards.
It was a good day, everyone really enjoyed themselves and were happy that they attended and look forward to promoting and getting more people involved next year.
Thank you Canada Needs Our Lady for all the supplies and the opportunity to be part of this great rally.☺️

Brampton, ON Chinguacousy Park

It was so amazing my “Yes” to our Lord did not disappoint me. I trusted our Lord and said Yes to the call without going much into details. First week I told people about CanadaNeedsOurLady Rosary Rally by word of mouth. When I got my banner and the program materials I was so excited and began to find ways to advertise my Rally. I got in contact with the local municipality, our Church and also through emails.

5 families came together and we had an awesome time with our Lady. It was raining in the morning and when almost time to start our Rosary the cloud enveloped us. I prayed that the rain be delayed until later. Our Lady heard the prayer and sun came out and stayed until we finished our rosary.
It was a beautiful experience as this was my first time doing anything publically. I thank and praise God for this opportunity to meet new people I never knew before, and the grace he provided us
to together as a small community.

Participants were very happy after the rally, they found happiness peace and they want to know when is the next rally will take place so that they can bring their families and friends. They felt that the athmosphere within the group changed to very pleasant and relaxing. They stayed about 30 minutes after the rally and many participants were not able to sign in as they came late.

There were 29 people in attendance and everyone received a “Canada Rosary” which we, the members of Our Lady of Peace Rosary Guild had made for the Rally. There was a very light mist, but everyone had either an umbrella or a raincoat. Two priests attended as well, and our Parish priest, Fr. John Burchat led the Divine Praises.

We believe that everything that comes from our hearts with such faith and devotion, could only bring blessings to this world, which is our Lady’s message to us, to spread her love, that will lead us to live in peace and in God’s will.

Sherbrooke

On Saturday, October 14, we did a rosary pilgrimage from Sherbrooke’s Immaculée Conception church to the Beauvoir sanctuary. We recited the entire 20 mysteries of the rosary out loud and even sang parts of it in the downtown Sherbrooke area. We did not receive the Canada Needs Our Lady banner that we ordered, but we still managed to pull off a public rosary to pray for sinners and peace in the world.

It was directly across the street from the bustling Boyce Farmers Market. The Rally was organized by local priest, Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan. He asked for participation from local Fredericton parishioners from Our Lady of Fatima (incl. Fr. Richard Harris), St. Dunstan’s and other local Catholic churches, members of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada, the Knights of Columbus Councils, Fredericton Right to Life and others. Catholic passersby from the market also joined in. There were about 40 people in the group and your banners were held up for all to see.

Pembroke

This was Pembroke’s 1st Public Rosary Rally. I booked the Pembroke Amphitheater well in advance so it was easier for the older people to sit and so everyone could hear us pray with the microphones.
The waterfront is generally a busy spot.
I asked our local Deacon to play his guitar and sing the songs with us. He also helped me make sure that all the parishes in our area received notification, (three weeks in advance), to put in their bulletins.
The Pembroke Diocese has both French and English parishes, therefore I asked a parishioner from one of our local French Church to help me say the Rosary in French as well. We took turns doing the intentions, 1st in English next in French and so on. I would say the first Joyful Mystery she would do the second and so on.
She also helped me welcome everyone, had them sign the attendance sheet and handed out the programs and intentions. I had copies of both French and English made.
A total of 65 people came to join us, including two Priests and one Deacon.
It was also nice to see two young families there.
I was very pleased with the turn out. Only 57 signed the attendance sheet.
If each of these 57 people brought one person next year we will have over 100.!!
When we finished singing O Sanctissima I asked Fr. Stephen to give all us a final blessing.
Pembroke had heavy rain earlier that morning but as we were beginning to set up for the Rally there was a whole in sky of no clouds and as we were saying the third Joyful Mystery The Sun came out ! It was so beautiful to see.
Thank you for giving me this beautiful opportunity to share my faith with others.

We have 37 pictures that were taken at the Rally these are the three best ones that show most of the grp and the people that helped me make it such a success.

Ottawa Near Rideau River Pathway

Our rally location was near the Rideau River Pathway on the edge of the street with cars passing by and pedestrians. A car passed by and honked and waved as an encouraging expression. We were able to do the rosary rally in Spanish as our group was Hispanic. It was our great pleasure to bring this Public Rosary to our Ottawa area. We hope to promote it and reach more individuals next year. Thank you for the blessed opportunity.
