Brampton, ON

We had a successful Rally last Saturday. There were 29 of us.

We had rain, which stopped as we went out to pray on the 4 corners at St Anthony Padua church. Bright sun came out though very windy and cool. Some of us prayed the rosary at 2 entrances of the plaza across from the church. So we were 6 groups.

Blessings and Peace.

Our Rally was held on the sidewalk on The East Mall and Vallaha-Inn Road, Etobicoke, Ontario. We prayed the rosary and the chaplet of Divine Mercy after we put the attached petitions across to Jesus through Our Mother. We also sang some Hymns.

We did get the attention of many cars and some people that passed that way. And I believe we did make Mother Mary and Heaven happy as we stood there for over an hour holding the banner and raising our rosaries. Praise God!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Here’s a quick post I put on Facebook for my Brother Knights in regards to yesterday’s Street Rosary Rally in Mississauga. We were on the Southeast corner of Burnhamthorpe and Hurontario.

The winds made it especially hard to set up anything. In fact, our first tent was taken down as it could not be secured safely. Resultant winds forced me to alter the Radio Maria table display.

Please be sure to join us in October 2020!

Today starting out at 12 O`clock we held a rosary rally.  We did a public walk through the down town core while praying the Rosary. We started out at the Catholic church and proceeded on an eight  block walk through the down town core returning to the church grounds as the prayers reached their end.

This was the third year we have conducted what we refer to as a Rosary rally public walk. we will be continuing the October public Rosary with this type of public walk on a yearly bases for the foreseeable future. As vehicles passed us on the side of the street we were not using, some were giving us a thumbs up; it appears the drivers and their passengers accepted our presence and were not bothered by the little inconvenience we might have caused them.

Today we started with 14 people and 4 more joined as we passed through the down town.

We had two priests to pray and bless us.  Father Claude and Father Daas. We had approximately 30 people. Each year our number of prayerful followers are getting larger.

Unfortunately, because of the pouring rain outside, we had to hold the Rosary Rally inside our local Theatre this year, on 50 Cunard Street in Miramichi, New Brunswick. (It is called the Vogue Theatre. They were very kind and generous to let us go inside. The Theatre is in our busy downtown of our city. We had planned on using their parking lot, but the weather was not cooperating, but it did not keep our faithful Catholics away. Praise Jesus for this truly blessed event for His Holy Mother, Mary.

Public Square Rosary Rally

Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women’s League hosted its first ever Rosary Rally to coincide with the national campaign of Canada Need Our Lady to take back the public square. Though many were invited, few attended on the Saturday of the Thanksgiving Weekend. This day is chosen as it is nearest Saturday to the 102nd anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun (October 13, 1917). At noon as busy traffic passed Third and Columbia, Catholics sang Immaculate Mary and O Sanctissima and prayed the Angelus, Rosary, Litany of the Blessed Virgin and others for the 2019 Intentions for the Public Square Rosary Crusade which included:
– To show God and His Blessed Mother our love and veneration, we offer this rosary rally as a special public commemoration of the 102nd Year Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparitions at Fatima.
– Through the most Holy Rosary, we ask Our Lord and Our Lady for the conversion of Canada so that it may fulfill its historic mission.
– To stop the waves of sacrilege, blasphemy and anti-religious hatred within our society.
– That our national leaders would seek to honour God’s Law and pray for the wisdom and knowledge necessary
to solve Canada’s complex problems.
– For the urgent triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Canada and the world especially as a result of our massive prayers and acts of reparation offered at these 102nd anniversary rallies.
nIn reparation for the countless sins which are committed daily against the most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the most Immaculate Heart of Mary.
– For the Catholic Church. May Our Lady grant it victory over its enemies, declared and undeclared.

See www.CanadaNeedsOurLady.org for more information. Plan to hold your own Rosary Rally or join with another group next year.

We also had an outdoor rosary made with cards on our church grounds which was very effective at attracting interest in the event.

It was looking like our group would be small but (at the stroke of 12 noon) others joined us. So we numbered 11 in total…9 from our parish of St Leonard (including our priest) plus 2 others.
Not bad for a first effort !
It did begin to rain shower the moment we blessed ourselves to start but never was enough to cause us to get our umbrellas from the car.
We considered it an extra blessing…with holy water.
We gathered at the public park at the intersection of two major streets where there’s lots of traffic, as well as, sports fields…with a team practising.
The consensus was that we’ll do it again next year…and hopefully grow in numbers.

Good Morning, My name is Maria. The Rosary Crusade took place on Saturday October 12th, at noon at the corner of Close Ave and King St. West, by the statue of the Blessed Mother located outside of the Holy Family Church of Toronto, Ont.We gathered about 30 people and had two volunteers to hold the banner and another person to distribute the handouts. We followed the suggested Prayer Program and prayed the fifteen Mysteries (Joyful, Sorrows and Glorious) We took few pictures at the end of the program.  The Rally captain is in green jacket. You will find attached a list of names of the attendants. I collected some names. It was a nice spiritual experience for all of us who were present with no disturbances during the prayer, and we were blessed with good weather.  After the rain in the morning, it cleared up by noon, but it was windy reason for placing the banner against the wall of the building for protection. I am not signing for Rally Captain for 2020 at this time.  I will re-check it at the proper time. Thank you for making me  a part of this great Rosary Crusade.  May God continue blessing your work and sacrifices. In Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Maria Ziebert2019 Rally Captain

Zurakowski Park – Barry’s Bay ON

The Rally was held by the Barry’s Bay, Combermere and Foymount areas/
Approximately 40 people showed up on a grey, showery day. The reason the gathering was so limited was caused in part by one of the parishes not publishing the event for 2 previous Sundays, as requested. The part-time secretary forgot to include the memo sent to her for inclusion in the Parish Bulletin. That area usually sends a significant number of people to the Rally.
However, that did not prevent the event from being prayerful and a solid display of our faith and love for Our Lady. The statue of Our Lady of Fatima – 42 inches high – was proudly displayed on a table for all to see and to whom to pray.
Thank you to you for providing us with what was needed to pray fervently and with pride.

The weather was excellent, totally devoid of snows, which had marked previous rallies. This was the first time I held the rally at City hospital. It was an image from the Lord of the Rings trilogy when the sentinel fire is lit and you can see the the other sentinel fires dotting the mountain range signaling for help in battle. The image came with the words “Deep calls into Deep”… I looked up the words and it is from Psalm 42.

The Massacre of the Innocents the First Martyrs

by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira
(taken from Catolicismo, N° 654 – June 2005

The fresco below, representing the Massacre of the Innocents, was done by Giotto, the famous medieval Italian painter. It was painted between 1302 and 1306 and is exposed in the famous Chapel of the Scrovegni, in Padua.

Around the time of the birth of Our Redeemer, Herod, the Tetrarch of Galilee, ordered all boys under two years of age to be killed because the wise men had naively asked him if he had heard about the newly born king of the Jews.

Herod, figuring that there was not room on the throne for two kings, believed it necessary to eliminate that Boy. He had his soldiers look for the Child everywhere, but He was not found. So Herod ordered the slaughter of the innocents.

They were the first martyrs of the Catholic Church. Why martyrs? For a very simple reason: they were killed out of hatred for the faith and for God; out of hatred for the Child who had given them the honor of being born roughly at the same time He came into the world. Having been murdered for these reasons, they went to heaven as martyrs. They are the Holy Innocents.

When the Angels appeared on Christmas Eve, they proclaimed: “Glory be to God in the highest, and peace on earth to men of good will.” But the first actions that unfold from that day full of light, blessing and peace, are also laden with threats regarding the future. For a superficial mind, this seems to be in contradiction with the phrase “peace on earth to men of good will.” One has the impression that men of good will would neither suffer persecutions nor have to fight.

Probably some of the fathers and mothers of those children depicted in Giotto’s fresco were men of good will. Nevertheless, what happened to them? An immense tragedy: their children were slaughtered.

Herod appears on a sort of balcony, ordering the massacre. One sees the executioners looking for children whom their parents are trying to hide. In the foreground, one sees a woman who obviously does not want to give up her son. Nearby, one notices scenes of agitation and violence. It is indeed a dramatic scene.

Someone could ask, “Were they not baptized?” The answer is that they were baptized in their own blood; they were graced with the so-called “baptism of blood.” And they are, as far as one can see, the first deceased Christians to benefit from the merits of Our Lord Jesus Christ shortly after their own birth.

NOVENA TO THE HOLY FAMILY

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of loving Holy Church, as we are bound to do, above every earthly thing, and of ever showing forth our love by the witness of our deeds.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of openly professing, as we are bound to do, with courage and without human respect, the faith that we received of Thy gift in Holy Baptism.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of sharing, as we are bound to do, in the defense and propagation of the Faith, when duty calls, whether by word or by the sacrifice of our fortunes and our lives.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of loving one another in mutual charity, as we are bound to do, and establish us in perfect harmony of thought, will and action, under the rule and guidance of our holy Pastors.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, bless us and grant us the grace of conforming our lives fully, as we are bound to do, to the commandments of God’s law and that of His holy Church, so as to live always in that charity which they set forth.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we ask in particular this special favor: [state your request here]

Let us Pray:
Lord Jesus Christ, Who, being made subject to Mary and Joseph, didst consecrate domestic life by Thine ineffable virtues; grant that we, with the assistance of both, may be taught by the example of Thy holy Family and may attain to its everlasting fellowship. Who liv

Summerland

Over 30 people this time which is twice what we normally have. No pictures yet as we had only one lady with a cell phone and she is not set up for e-mail. Usually my wife takes a picture but wasn’t there this year.
There was another “living rosary” in the church at 4:30 followed by a potluck supper. Unfortunately only 20 people showed up for that.
Not sure what’s going to happen next year but everyone seemed to love what we did.
Thanks for making this happen.

Best regards, Norman Jay

Albertville, Saskatchewan

We were happy to see the people that attended, they wanted to be there and willing to brave the cold, windy weather. It was beautiful to pray together. The fellowship afterwards was just as beautiful.

Toronto, ON Islington and Bloor

A rather cool and blustery day in Toronto attracted only God’s remnant of twelve devoted apostles of Our Lady to the Islington and Bloor intersection to pray for Canada. That said, the fire in the heart of each attendee requisition the Blessed Mother’s intentions so fervently must have melted her heart.

Corner of McCowan Rd and Steele’s Ave. Toronto, Ontario

As the famous quote “ many are called but few are chosen”.
Few as we were but supported by many in the busyness and quietness at their homes and places they joined us in prayers and intentions. A honk and thumbs up from motorists was inspiring despite the cold and wind. We’ll do it again.

One even suggested we can continue to do it more often.

Thank You for leaving a voice message of invitation as Rally Captain.

At the Delta Centre, Cambridge, Ontario

It was at the Delta Centre, between ” Listenup Canada ” and ” Cash Money ” at the intersection of Dundas and Highway 24. I had only one (1) person, my nephew, to join me this year, but next year I believe I will have more. It was my nephew who took the pictures for me on my cell phone. This is one of the main intersections in Cambridge.
